You Capture - Old Signs

This week's You Capture theme was Old Signs.

Some of these don't really look old... but they're old to me!
I was home at my parents' house when I took these this weekend.
I really was going to try to stick to just one or two pictures this week, but I couldn't do it!

Mom and Dad's front porch:

Signs in the garage:

On the front door:

The common theme around the house:(Can you guess our favorite family movie by this?)

Not really a sign... but kinda? Made of old barn siding:

This one is definitely old. Well... older than me anyways!
Dad painted this one shortly after they got married:

And this one I actually took a few summers ago, but I love it.
Not far from where I grew up, a road with my family's name:

  1. Great job. Lots of good signs there. Especially like the parking signs.

  2. The no parking signs are classic! That's It's a Wonderful Life...Jimmy would be proud!

  3. How fun to have your own street!

  4. great post, katy! i like your take on old signs. i think my favorite is the flag from barn boards - really cool! and the parking signs for your mom and dad - they sound like really fun people :).

my old sign pictures are posted now also. feel free to come on over and visit anytime :O).

  5. Ok, I about died laughing at the parking signs! Those are just too funny. Great pictures!

  6. I love the street name sign. In New York (where my dad and stepmom used to live) there were two street names with their first names. I always thought that was so cool when I was growing up :)

  7. I like the Friends Welcome sign! So cute to have on a front porch.
    Great captures!

  8. the parking signs are my favorites in this set, then the sign your dad painted. :) Thanks for sharing!
